Hi, we're still maintaining (not much, but it still runs) one server that's 4 years old - eressea.cz - there are two or three players on the server and we don't want to disappoint them so we keep it running... I secretly hope they'll all come to L2 Shrine and we'll be finally able to close it (if it's one month without traffic or so)

Maybe if we add 1st class change for one click, it would attract some people. Maybe if we add autoloot, it would attract even more people. And well, if we add NPC buffer, GM shop, global gatekeeper, 14 day olympiad, subclass skill stacking, ... No, we want it retail.

Hi, it's almost as @heroBD said 1. hobby - yes, you need to do something and this is something so we do it* :))) 2. wont expect money - it's more of "don't want to have troubles with money". There are two problems associated with taking money from players: laws (paying taxes, legal form for our project, ...) and obligation to players (if you take some money from them, it's much different, they'll feel you owe them something). Also, getting some $ 1000 / month from players would not make big difference for us 3. name - yes, maybe it's bit of this too 4. developer abilitie

If I remember correctly, you have to be clan leader of clan level 2+ - that should be the only limitation. Prices are retail (so some tens of kk for initial bid and some small fee weekly) and clan hall gives you no skills, just buffs.

We dump (backup) database 4 times a day (every 6 hours), also we run on 2 SSD drives in RAID1 (mirroring) so it would require really really bad luck to lose data. I work as a system/software architect so...

Nice idea! But I fear I don't have any spare windows computer that would be able to run it... On servers we have only some plain VGA card that can't make it.

No, skill learning will be retail.

We use customized Gracia Epilogue client with some data from Gracia Final client. It will allow us to update to full Epilogue over time - continuously. There are already some Epilogue features - enchanting skills from skill window (without NPC) and consuming adena/SP instead of EXP/SP, buy/sell in one window etc. We will add more over time.

Not from the start, we will update to full Epilogue over time and when it will be Epilogue, we will decide whether to continue up to Freya or not - it will depend on the community
