M boxes are not running in devotion / karmian sets.. but they do have robes.. so you might be right

I dont think that its only "killing the weakest" My buffpets are higher level, than my actual damage dealing character, and they still get agroed here and there. And thats why i think that everyone in your party get a set amough of agro and L2 just spins the dice and chooses a new target randomly

I do believe that what you said is the case... Agro mobs just randomly change targets, and i am pretty sure its a normal feature of the game

Once you evolve him he ll be the one doing all the dmg and you ll be really happy that you had him..

I am pretty sure that a mob can M crit too.. (or at least sometimes they hit me in cata for a tone by a spell..)

IC shield people are trying to sell it for aprox 45kk, not sure, if they sells it.. but ah well... DC leather armor.. i would guess 12-15kk? DC leggings 12-13kk? I am no expert though
