  3. Character teleporting to another level in FoG

    I just got teleported while killing train

    from approx. /loc 183554, -115670, -6080 (FoG lower level)

    to /loc 183501, -115656, -2632 (path to Valakas)

     

    Might also be triggered by mob skill, I got stunned at the same moment. I farmed there for quite some time, and got stunned a few times already, but this was the first time it happened.

     

    While I'm making a topic, some time ago similar thing happened to me at upper level, I got kicked above FoG. Unfortunatelly I didn't write down coords, I can go for /loc where I think it was, but it won't be 100%.

    Thanks. I was checking in game just before reading this.

    I ported to cursed village and saw the previously missing trio on the other side of the village (roughly where Mina stands during the day), whereas the boss was on the west side of the fountain. Before I got closer the three disappeared. I relogged, went to the exact place where I previously saw them and they appeared (and Dorian triggered quest event). Stepped back, relogged and they disappeared again. Maybe they're falling through the ground while trying to follow the boss :D

    Raid boss spawning without minions can hardly be considered a feature. I've never had trouble completing that quest, because all of them were there.

    The "jumping around" is a different issue. I can't say it has nothing to do with the bugged boss spawn, because it may have something to do with it. But on this server even the jumping is buggier than usual -- here these minions appear like 10x in 10 minutes at one spot, or two of them pop simultaneously at the exact same spot.

    Eilhalder von Hellman is missing some of his minions, namely Dorian, Mina and Kurstin.

    I know they randomly jump around the world. I think they somehow pick a character and nag it for a while. A few months back I put a dorf .offline in Rune and Dorian kept appearing near him for hours. Just recently I saw Dorian and Mina several times in VoS. That's a known bug (or feature, who knows?).

     

    BUT. When the raid boss spawns, his minions must be there (and each of them only once; some time ago I saw some of them duplicated).

    Right now there's only Violet. Others haven't spawned, not even when I attacked the boss.

     

    Apart from the weakened raid issue, one needs to meet Dorian in vampire form in order to progress in the quest Inhabitants of the Forest of the Dead. Or so I think, as running around the village at night, killing vampires or attacking the boss had no effect.

    Or are you saying that your side actively tried to drive new players away? A few weeks back I was running around Giran late at night, saw oly announcement, there were some people in C-A grade from one small clan in 4 arenas, obviously not aspiring for hero, just doing their nine "matches". Next round, guess how many tryhards didn't have anything better to do than squash these guys. Antistyle, Gogita, Explo.

    And you know what's more demotivating for new players than half of heroes from 1 clan? Half of castles owned by 1 clan with manor set in none of them. That's what you had when I came here.

    As for no world boss fights, that has to do with low population as well (and a lack of balls in some clans). I think I've never seen Baium waiting for people for 8 hours like yesterday. It's always been the other way around 9_9

    1. can't confirm, I'm seeing mages multiplying frequently with destro.

    2. working as intended (or at least as it's always been on l2off). If you're in a castle-owning clan when the competition period starts (18:00 monday after sieges), you won't be able to register dusk for that period, even if you leave that clan afterwards.

    3. /agree getting badges for sitting in town is lame, but .offline is not the culprit, it just makes it easier to abuse :)

    IIRC randoms can only revive at outpost if they die within the siege zone where the outpost is located (similar to how approved castle defenders can only revive at castle if they die in the castle's vicinity).

    Correction: it's not all towns, but only human Lottery Ticket Sellers, which are located in most towns, Monster Race Track, and Kamael village.

    Starting villages except Kamael have sellers of their own race. Schuttgart has orcish seller. Those have no crest.

    So the other 39 people want to farm 2-3 months on server with no economy, hit 80 and then transfer to the old server? Sounds like a lot more grind than joining the existing server with market full of A/S equipment for crystal prices; well not everything, some pieces are harder to get, but still.

    Yes, if you do class change quests, and/or Dion Temple quest series (I wouldn't do this on Cleric, though, required mobs are a bit too high so Wind Strike fails often) and 36-42 Pailaka, you'll get over 40.

    After 40 you can do Relic Exploration quest series

    Kookaburra yes, that's a must. But limiting yourself to undeads and Might of Heaven is nonsense.

    At 44 Bishop gets Inquisitor, transformation with much more mana-efficient nuke. If you want solo farm, go Pavel Ruins, it's great till 52. Then perhaps Forsaken Plains. At 56 Forest of the Dead.

    As for your last question, I'd say Bishop is decent when he becomes Cardinal with Balance Life (76). But still squishy until you have S+ robe with resistances.
