It's only my personal experience, it's my 2nd day here, but I would say Global Shout would be useful at least for some time for new players.

Navrhujem zapnut global chat, nehra tu tolko ludi zeby sa to nedalo udrzat ... napr som lvl 20 a koli zhananiu aka som stratil par minut nato aby som portoval do giranu adenu atd. a potom spät do low miest a aj tak som ju nezohnal . ( Pravdaze to bola moja dobra vola, ziaden reward som nechcel )

Are you gonna enable global or larger area chat for start? Makes things seem more populated and easier to find party members since there are no heroes. I know you are all for retail so I guess not? It's just something to improve gameplay / have fun with other people.

Continuous posting in russian in english speaking section, insults in the "shout channel" etc. His stupiduty is not an excuse of course.

Bhaahahahaha... The blyat is so bad, that he kind of confessed that IT started the "flaming" in the "shout" (now IT's whining about it) ... (Oh yeah blyat ... THEN) ... and is also confessing about whining "someone to make it hero" . So the blyat is nonstop whining about something. Keep whining blyat. But careful when participating in the geh pride... Exactly,it feels kinda frustrating , not able to get back at a blue shout, doesn't it ? And yeah, I've always enjoyed a good "WTB my other sock" that turns into a conversation , but if I can't be a part of it .. it kinda sucks. @emca i have an idea about global chat ( if it is possible to be done ) can the + trade chat be done global alone as it is ? in this way whoever wants to spam can spam , and whoever wants to turn it of just do it. it wont harm anyone . even now the economy in giran (at least at chat is very poor ) . the only reason why i d personally want global chat is trades, nothing more , it helps the people that xp a lot , the people that dont like to stand in giran for hours , specially with this small community atm. economy is the (alpha and the omega as we say in greece) and it is ex -

Hi everyone! We've done Epilogue update on our old server Eressea. The server is very old (around 5 years so it's really pretty dead) but it's still considered live server (with around 5 real people playing there) so there are no "beta" features or any other help for testers, but the server itself is 10x EXP/SP, 20x adena, 12x drop, 24x spoil, 7x RB drop with prolonged buffs, GM shop up to A-grade and soul crystals 11/12, global shout/trade chat etc (more info here in both czech and english) so it will be easy to test anything there during summer. Is it possible to move the shout box / Chat box to the main page and have it at the top of the forum? At the moment its sort of hidden away and you can't see it. It makes the forum more interactive and new players can ask questions there etc Once the shout box is in the main page then have the forum auto refresh every 10 minutes. I don't know about others but I have the forums open all the time Its just a nice little feature.

That will make the website more messy and cluttered. Keep it clean and simple. Everyone knows that they check the forums before joining the server. Example if someone came to the forums now they will see that the English section is really active as there is topics to discuss before the launch. The shout box just adds another layer of activeness to the forums / server. Sometimes people don't want to make threads. They just post in the shout box and wait for people to reply. This is a common practice and works well.

@wiegraf, there will be some changes of course - we're planning update to Epilogue, but that's nothing in conflict with retail - one may even say it's more retail than staying years on the same version As for basic features like rates, no autoloot, no global shout/trade - this will stay as it is. Global chat (even with a nice idea to be used for traders) is gonna be turned in a flame war channel. I think it causes more problems than it solves. Just make spam macros on dwarfs. Giran was always the place for the game economy, so go there, make shop, shout wts. EDIT: It could maybe, just maybe work with something like 10 minutes delay for messages, but still, could be used for anything really. -
We don't want global shout... It's good for servers with really low population (less than 200) but it would be megaspam with more people...

Yeah exactly, hero chat is global chat and is usually used as flame war channel. People who can afford it pay people to get their WTS/WTB to whole server. Others who cant have bad luck. Same will happen, if there is a global chat for everyone. Flame war nonstop. -

Nice polski Emca Myślę, że bylem ostatnim polakiem który tu gral, albo przynajmniej ostatnim który grał i uzywał forum. Nie wiem czy jacys przyszli podczas ostanich 3 miesiecy gdy nie grałem, ale wątpię by powstal polski clan czy cp. Może sie myle, musialbys jakiegos hero o shout spytac i szukac w grze.

Because comunity here is not big. I have suggestion to add exchange element stones for element crystals like on H5 (now you can get them only in SOD). I saw it custom added on L2 grace Gracia final, casual players can get crystals even if they dont have time to farm sod. Exchange rate shout be higher then on H5. 10-20 stones and 10-20m adena for 1 crystal.

It's not "one" guy, you spoke to two of us. That is not normal. Summoners just get screwed when the mobs suddenly decide to scramble to our buffers or to the summoner. Dunno how to name this "bug" i know its not global, it have to do only with me but i just dunno what i need to do to solve it so im seeking help here on the forum I just dont see the captchas and my actions are limited, cant vote, cant change passwords etc. I also have this when i try to google. Ahoj všichni! Udělali jsme update na Epilog na starém serveru Eressea. Server je opravdu velmi starý (kolem 5 let, takže je opravdu mrtvý) ale pořád se o něj staráme jako o běžící server (s přibližně 5 lidmi, co tam ještě hrají), takže tam nebudeme dávat žádné "beta" shopy a podobně, ale protože je server 10x EXP/SP, 20x adena, 12x drop, 24x spoil, 7x RB drop s prodlouženými buffy, GM shopem s A-grade a soul crystaly 11/12, s global shoutem/tradem atd (více info zde), nemělo by být těžké cokoliv otestovat.
